Installs virtual Serial COM Port on your PC through USB so any software can connect to your end device having UART/RS232 port. The UART port is exposed via a  4 pin 0.1" standard vertical header, and the RS232 port is exposed via a DB9 Male connector just like what you can find on the back of old PC's motherboards.
