SDCard/Proto Shield for Pico RP2040
This shield for Pico RP2040 enables a combination of SDCard and Prototyping area powered by a Coin Cell Battery. It comes with an SDCard holder and a CR2032 Coin Cell holder.
Also available onboard are two tactile switches and a LED, all of which are left unconnected and are available for the user to connect to any of the GPIO pins on Pico.
The SDCard however is ready to use and is connected to SPI1 port of Pico at the following pins.
- GP12/RX
- GP13/CS
- GP14/SCK
- GP15/TX
The battery power to the shield can be switched on by shorting the jumper labeled “ON” and can be switched off by removing the jumper short. It is safe to power the shield simultaneously through the USB port on Pico and the onboard battery as we employ a power ORing circuit to safely and automatically disable the battery while the system is USB powered.
We’ve packed as much as possible prototyping space while keeping the form factor small. We hope this is enough prototyping space for tiny battery-powered projects.
